Ti Kwan Yin Oolong.

  1. So at thanxgiving I bought some "unknown" Oolong green tea from a company I had never heard of. I brought it back to the inlaws house and opened it up, It looked good and smelled even better. I steeped some (190 at 2 min) and seriously fell in love with this tea. I came back home (to cali) and ran out before I could get back to AZ at christmas. Well I'm back and I have found it once again! Holy crap! I forgot how GOOD this is. First sip gives you a very "Green Oolongy" flavor but as it starts to cool you start getting notes of Raw almonds and maybe a walnut? but the best part is the finish, thick buttery coating for your tongue. this is truly a killer tea, and if you can find it I suggest you pick some up!

  2. Jeffe, glad you were able to score the Ti Kwan Yin. Drinking some Silk Road Teas "Jiukeng" Dragon Well green. Good for two superb steepings, then it gives out.

  4. ....then there's Peet's Ancient Trees Pu-erh. Tried these mini tuochas both traditional and gong fu style. Initial impression....not my cuppa tea. Too earthy, and with a slight "fishy" odor.
